Nice!! Meaningful yet not preachy!
PETRONAS is so rich they can make a 5minutes advertisement on prime time...they no need to rush...that why the PETRONAS advertisement is so valuable.
I think this advertisement is very unique and creative, they only take time less than 5 minutes to produce one advertisement which possess compact message by four different scenes. First scene, his son want to buy fishing net but his father refuses and he makes its own, the second scene his son want to buy a toy car but he says he’s not enough money. The third scene, his son obtain offer to further study and he gives account book which showed all this while he saving to his son's future. And the last scenes, his son come back with victorious and buy a favorite motorcycle for his father.
By the different background, environment village and also the sad background music can make audience feeling touching. It is delivered in a classic theme. It’s shown that his father use figurative language to teach his son saving and strive by own if want something.
In this advertisement also showed inside creativity to do something although by using used or recycled item. The message that they trying to state are our creativity is very important to produce something better off than present. This is as those his son use netting thrown away at making fishing net to catch fish, and also used tire and wood at making car. Finally what he produces becomes successful and be better off than present goods.
This advertisement want to tell that in order to be a successful one, we not necessary expect fully to state, in fact conferred talent and creativity could find initiative in order to meet our desire. Independent mean can be self-governing and had always try to develop by self. Not impossible for us Malaysian’s to achieve anything but must have attempt. Don’t be hoping by word if and if to go further. Step on in real earth. Go Malaysian go!
